Digitala Stambanan | Digitala Stambanan strengthens Swedish manufacturing industry’s digital journey

The project Digitala Stambanan focused  on the industry’s need for digital infrastructure to exchange data, information, and communication within and between companies.

The project received funding through the government’s collaboration program “Connected industry and smart materials” 2018-2020. The project clarified the needs for digital value chains, platforms, digital markets, and ecosystems for the manufacturing context. Findings from the project that extend the knowledgebase in this area, were spread both within and outside the project consortium, which placed the issue of digitalization of value chains on the agenda of many companies.

The topic is crucial for the future competitiveness of the Swedish industry. Therefore, Vinnova granted a continuation of the project, which started in September 2021. Vinnova finances the project together with some 40 industrial companies, in total 40 MSEK ion + 40 MSEK from industry over a three-years period.
