Bottleneck Group: Resource and Funding Constraints

  • BOTTL_09 - Lack of resources and funding
    • REC_09.1.01 - Replace presence meetings, if possible, with online meetings to reduce costs of participation and to open the possibility for other participants to attend
    • REC_09.1.02 - Provide financial resources and funding to participants of working groups and technical committees to develop standards that cover e.g. costs related to participation, such as travel expenses and other participation fees as well as acquisition of necessary materials and resources
    • REC_09.1.03 - Establish and fund testbeds that collaborate with companies to test standards that have significant policy impacts
    • REC_09.1.04 - Implement a tiered participation fee structure (where a fee is requested)e.g. based on company size and financial capacity to make participation more affordable for SMEs and encourage broader involvement
